L.A. Creatives Show Off Their Dope Desks

R29: What’s your favorite part about your desk?
SB: “Part of the desire I had for my office nook was for it to serve as a functional inspiration board. I have a mixture of fashion and world event books within reach, just above my computer monitor, at all times. I keep at least five little notebooks and journals up there as well, so that I can jot down ideas or sketch things immediately when they come to mind. 
And I keep a few items that I consider spiritual very close by as well. A miniature copy of the United States Constitution reminds me to never silence my voice, and to fight for equality. My tiny Buddha head and balanced rocks are a great call to meditate when life gets stressful, or to go outside and harmonize with nature. 
And the chalkboard wall is, by far, the best thing I’ve ever done inside my house. It’s so much fun to scrawl inspiring quotes up there, and it makes keeping my weekly calendar a joy.”
